Why selectable output matters here

Parking lot lighting is almost always adjusted after commissioning. The photometric plan assumes a clean fixture, a specific pole height and no obstructions, and the real site has trees, a neighbouring wall and a customer who finds the far corner too dark or the entrance too bright. A fixture whose wattage and beam angle can be set on site turns that from a re-order into a service call.

Specifying one

Start with pole height and spacing, then the distribution type the layout needs — a type 3 pattern on a perimeter pole does a different job from a type 5 on a central one. Confirm the mounting: slip fitter and arm mounts are not interchangeable without an adaptor.
