Most of a supplier's catalogue is there for the job that needs it once. This is the other kind of stock — the items a contractor buys on a Tuesday because a van ran out, where what matters is not selection but whether it is on the shelf this afternoon. Keeping depth on a narrower list is how a counter stays useful for that.

If you are setting up a standing order or a van stock list, this is the sensible place to start. Tell us what you go through in a month and we will quote it as a recurring order rather than pricing it line by line each time.

Stock is still confirmed on the quote — nothing on this site claims to be a live inventory feed, and a category called Hot Items would be the worst place to start pretending otherwise. What it does mean is that these are the lines most likely to be on the floor when you ask.
